WebsiteAbout the Author
Miranda Hart is a British writer, comedian and actress. She made her mark appearing in British sitcoms, including Smack the Pony, Absolutely Fabulous and Not Going Out. But when her sitcom 'Miranda'' burst onto our screens in 2009, her popularity rocketed.
Miranda has since been crowned the Queen of Comedy at the British Comedy Awards and won Best New TV Comedy, as well as winning Best Actress in 2010 and 2011. She has, also, won three RTS comedy awards and has been nominated for four BAFTAs.
Her first book 'Is it Just me?' was a Sunday Times number one bestseller memoir of 2012.
She was the first female comedian to do an arena stand-up tour with her 'My what I call Live Show' which was a sell-out in 2013.
Here's what Miranda says about Miranda:
- Hello. Here’s the ‘About’ bit where I am meant to tell you how marvellous I am! Well, I do think I am marvellous, but no more marvellous than anyone else. We are all uniquely beautiful with specific purposes. And what I am about, through my work as a comedian, actor and writer, is helping people feel confident and free to be who they are. We are ALL marvellous! And if we are free to follow our heart you never know what might happen…
