Clocking up over 20 years together, Exhale Founders Kirsty and Al share a love of all things outdoors, health and, of course, good coffee.
After 15 years working in the corporate world (interspersed with 5 years of backpacking) they quit their hectic London jobs to launch Exhale in 2020.
After 5 years of R&D, wife, Kirsty, and Al, launched Exhale in Lockdown 2020 on a mission to introduce the world to the power of healthy coffee.
It was Al's complex, 7-year health journey which spurred the move, after years of meticulous planning, research and then development.
If you want to hear more about how Al's personal battle with auto-immunity which led to founding Exhale, have a listen to his interview on Dr Rupy's 'The Doctor's Kitchen' podcast.
"We also geek out on how exactly how we source and roast the healthiest possible coffee, in the most, people and planet-friendly way. And discuss all the wonderful ways Exhale can benefit your health. It's a good one."
Exhale believe food is medicine
"We're a chronically sick society. 40% of adults have at least one long-term health condition.
Food has the power to both prevent and heal. So if food is medicine, imagine the potential if all the food we consume was treated with the same love and care we treat our coffee?
We share the blueprint of our process in the hope that it inspires other businesses to join our mission and to produce food in a more naturally healthy way."
