Common Name: Organic Pomegranate Seed Oil (Cold‑Pressed)

Organic Pomegranate Seed Oil is a vibrant, golden‑yellow elixir cold-pressed from the cleaned, dried seeds of ripe pomegranate fruit, which grow on pomegranate trees (Punica granatum).

Each fresh fruit yields only a trace of oil, so more than 500 kg of pomegranates are required to obtain a single kilogram, making every drop precious.

The gentle cold‑pressing method protects the oil’s delicate profile, leaving it unrefined, nutrient‑dense, and free from solvents, preservatives or fragrances.

Pomegranate seed oil is the only known botanical source of punicic acid (omega-5), a rare essential fatty acid with powerful anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and skin regenerative benefits.

Omega-5 is a natural antioxidant that protects the skin from premature ageing, promotes regeneration of the epidermis and stimulates collagen production to keep skin looking smooth, firm and youthful.

Studies suggest that omega-5 can be used on sun-damaged skin as a repairing and rejuvenating treatment, though it should not be used as an SPF.

As the only known botanical source of punicic acid, pomegranate seed oil is a cosmetic staple for any skincare or cosmetics enthusiast.

How to use it

  • Use 1% to 100%. As this is a potent oil, we find that using 1%-3% is effective.

  • Organic pomegranate seed oil is oil-soluble and unsuitable for use in water-only products. However, you may use small amounts in water-based gels, where the oil is held in suspension.

  • When making creams and lotions, organic pomegranate oil is heat-tolerant and can be used in the fat stage (stage 1).

  • As pure pomegranate oil is so rich in skin-boosting antioxidants, it should be blended with other antioxidants like vitamin E or organic rosemary antioxidant to protect the oil from oxidation.

  • Adding just 2% organic pomegranate oil to a sports massage blend is very effective, even more so if you include fragonia essential oil and plai essential oil.

  • Combine organic pomegranate seed oil with organic pomegranate glycerol extract in creams and lotions. This will give your skincare products anti-aging benefits.

  • This oil can also be used in hair products for excellent results. We love it mixed with argan oil, coconut oil, and camellia seed oil for a nourishing hair and scalp treatment.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store tightly sealed in a cool, dark place below 20 °C.

Light and oxygen shorten the oil’s lifespan, so keep bottles closed and consider adding 0.5 % Natural Vitamin E to high‑exposure formulations.

The expiration date is clearly printed on every pack.

    It has a low to moderate comedogenic rating and is generally well‑tolerated. Patch test on sensitive skin.

    No. The aroma is faintly fruity‑nutty and fades rapidly after application.
