Established in 2017, Tapari has a multinational team with the company being based in the UK and our partners are in Nepal and India.
Tapari disposables are high quality, sustainable and unique – this is why we’re sure that these products are providing a great eco-friendly alternative for all occasions.
All the harvesting of the Sal leaves is done in a sustainable way by handpicking the leaves without damaging the plant which means the production of Tapari can continue forever without a lasting impact on the environment.
Tapari dishes are made entirely from Sal Tree leaves, which come from jungle areas in Nepal. Plates made from Sal leaves have been used for centuries in Nepal and are just as robust and sturdy, if not stronger than most paper-based alternatives.
Because no chemicals or glues are used in the production of Tapari, which are just leaves stitched together with Bamboo fibres, the product is 100% organic and will compost and biodegrade in your garden waste.
Each dish has been uniquely hand-stitched. Due to this handmade element, they are especially eye-catching, making them perfect for special occasions such as weddings, parties, events and much more.
All dishes have been produced hygienically, the products are safe to eat from and have passed the UKAS Hygiene Certification test.
The production of Tapari products takes place in Nepal where the collection of leaves and work in the factory provides employment to women in poor villages with no other work opportunities.
