Inci: Oenothera Biennis Oil, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annus Seed Oil
A moisturising oil high in GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) and other essential fatty acids. This versatile oil is an emollient that hydrates and protects the skin.
Our organic evening primrose oil is a clear oil with a pale to golden yellow hue, extracted from the evening primrose flower and COSMOS Certified Organic. It has 0.5% vitamin E (tocopherol) added to reduce oxidation in storage – delivered via a small amount of sunflower seed oil to ensure a pourable consistency. This lightweight oil has a dry feel and is easily absorbed by the skin, making it ideal for non-greasy cosmetic products.

▸ Cautions / Contraindications
– Although this oil remains stable when used with heat, its GLA content will be damaged. Use at the cool-down stage (stage 3) when making lotions and creams.
– Oil-soluble – cannot be used in water-only products. Small amounts can be used in water-based gels that hold it in suspension.
A note from Coralee’s Emporium: If you are blood type A, please be aware that this oil contains a small amount of sunflower seed oil (used to deliver the vitamin E). Those following a blood type A protocol may wish to patch test first or seek an alternative vitamin E carrier.

▸ How to Use It
– Use 1% to 100%. Using up to 10% in skincare products is effective.
– For sensitive skin, mix with rosehip seed oil, organic thistle oil and vitamin E to create a soothing blend.
– For oily skin, combine with vitamin A, rosehip seed oil, organic hazelnut oil and an epidermis and sebum balancer.

– Excellent for use on sensitive skin and can safely be used on babies.
