An oil rich in minerals and vitamin E, making it extremely effective for anti-ageing products. Silky, fast-absorbing and deeply nourishing – with one of the most fascinating histories of any carrier oil in the world.
Aromantic tigernut oil is a golden yellow to amber oil with barely any aroma, cold-pressed from the small tubers of the Yellow Nutsedge plant (Cyperus esculentus). Despite the name, tigernut is not a nut at all – it is pressed from the dried tubers of the plant, which are tiny, striped, and nut-like in appearance. It is heat stable, non-greasy, and absorbs beautifully into both skin and scalp.

▸ Cautions / Contraindications
None – tigernut oil is pressed from the tubers of the plant, not from a nut. It is not classified as a nut oil and carries no nut allergen concerns.
– Oil-soluble – cannot be used in water-only products. Small amounts can be used in water-based gels that hold it in suspension.
– Heat stable – can be used in Stage 1 (fat stage) when making creams and lotions.

– Use 1% to 100%.
– Blends very well with heavier oils like Shea Butter Oil to balance out greasiness.
– Combines well with Anti Acne Active Formula for acne-prone skin.
