Description

Inci: Santalum Spicata Wood Oil

A deep, soft, sweet, woody, balsamic scent that lingers for a long time.

A clear, colourless, viscous liquid obtained by steam distillation of the powdered, dry heartwood of the sandalwood tree. The tree must be at least 30 years old before it begins to develop heartwood – a slow, patient process that is reflected in the exceptional depth and longevity of this oil's fragrance.

▸ How to Use It

Skin Care

– A superb oil for hydrating and giving a radiant glow to the skin.

– Even though it helps to rehydrate dry skin, it also has an astringent effect so it tones the skin.

– Excellent for dry, cracked and chapped skin so include it in hand creams and foot creams. It soothes the skin.

– We feel it's always worth buying the most you can afford of Sandalwood as, even though it has to legally have a best before date, it improves with age.

Hair Care

– Use in hair products for both oily and dry hair.

Other

– Useful in a body wrap.

– Very calming and harmonising, Sandalwood has always been used for meditation and ritual.
