Yellow & Orange Winter-Flowering Succulent - Starter Babies

Yellow & Orange Flowering Succulent - These baby, evergreen rosette-forming succulent starters are tough survivors and need little looking after. Long-lived, growing slowly and steadily just some basics, and they will grow happily in their pot for a good few years, giving you a living, annual home-decor ornament.

They start their flower-stem, growing process after the U.K. autumn equinox, and the first bright flame flowers are opening, around the Yule / Winter Solstice. These wonderfully vibrant flower bells will continue to bloom through January.

The plants display a red tinge around their leaves when they grow in bright sunlight. This is caused by the plant making pigments such as carotenoids to protect it. So depending on its growing location, their leaves can be a shade of sage green to a dusky pink.

If the keeper of these babies wishes to, they can, easily, grow more, as these succulents are a style gift that keeps on giving. When a leaf falls off, and it is popped back into the pot , a new little rosette can form another succulent.

N.B. Remove the lid of the succulent tin, immediately after you receive your parcel. These are living plants and need light and water. For best care, plant up, no more than 3 hours after removing the lid, or drop some bottled / filtered water in the tin (not on plant leaves or it can mark them) and pop the tin on the windowsill if they have to wait.  Grow in sandy well-drained succulent soil.
